Craft Night with My Sisters.
The summer is flying by - time to catch up on what we've been up to!  Rach's twins Bea & Sol had a beach party in the dunes to celebrate becoming B'Nai Mitzvah - can't believe how old they are!  I adore them and am so proud of them - such bright and loving kids!
So we decided to make some tote bags for the beach party to give to their friends.  I'm obsessed with my Silhouette machine and freezer paper stencils so why not!
Unfortunately I had to cut individual stencils for each bag - 50 bags later I was questioning my decision making skills!  Fortunately Rach & Al were up for a night of crafting - with beer!  You can always count on Rach to have some good belgians in the fridge!
So many letters to sort thru!
I love the Martha Stewart craft paints - they work with fabric and come in great colors.
Once the letters and whale were in place we ironed them on and started painting!
The end result!
We managed to get them all done and everyone seemed to love them!  It was fun to see which colors everyone picked for themselves.
Bea, Sol & Eloise getting excited for the party - so cute!
Some centerpieces we made out of birch logs and paper straws!

 Painting & Sewing.
Over the holidays I made these zipper pouches for my sister's stockings and painted their monogram on the top.  They turned out so cute that I've been making more as presents for friends.
I love the faux bois fabric with the bright colors.
In progress.
A tote I made for Rach's birthday.
Wrapped up with a bracelet I made out of  pink and red rope!

Gorgeous navy striped skirt.
Love everything about this image - the blue dress and the pink garland - such vibrant color.
A classic caned throw - love it!
Blue polka dot loafers!
Navy and white polka dots - can't get enough of them!
Love these blue walls for an interior.

Great Color Combinations.
I love these gorgeous rugs featured in the March House Beautiful from JcPenney of all places!  The colors are great all mixed together.
Unfortunately they only come in small sizes - I'd love a big 8x10 rug of the two rugs combined!
I'm also loving this bed I saw over on Scandinavian Chic.  I love a bed full of mixed patterns - no all white linens for me.  Although I do have a few vintage white linen sheets with embroidered monograms that look great mixed in with everything - my mom has a real knack for finding great vintage treasures and sharing them with us!  This yellow and white striped bedskirt looks amazing with the black and white duvet and the pink and orange headboard.
I've been planning to make a black and white striped bedskirt like this for ages - now I think I've got to just do it!  I think it would look great with any color or pattern you put with it.
A well worn bed and a great mix of colors.
Some John Robshaw inspiration - I love it when he does brighter colors like this in his patterns.

A Few Favorites.
A few things catching my eye lately!
A modern twist on the classic toggle coat from J.Crew.
I'm kind of loving this horse lamp after seeing it in this month's Adore Magazine.
I've been crushing on this giraffe print from Pottery Barn Kids - so cute!
Last, but not least, this collection of Dansk Kobenstyle pots would be very welcome in my kitchen!  Such great colors!
